I definetely think so!

I'm a new blogger, and this is a hard community to get into, everyone is so well established!

I run a blog called Alijor, at Alijor.blogspot.com, and I'd love to meet new bloggers,

Cheers,
Alijor

Thank you so much Amanda and Vijay for responding. I think, I was actually misunderstood. You see, I'm not eager to post - I only joined to support those medbloggers that adhere to the code. I feel the patient blogs are support staff.

I agree with Amanda. I think the 'more definitely medical blogs' should go first. I'm going to go to the end of the queue for now. Actually a sort of who's next list would also be a good idea.
Another thing, which can be done a little later when the gallery has more blogs in it, would be to list the blogs based on nationality. This could easily become 'the online reference' site for all medical blogs world-wide.

CA, I'd guess that we're all to do it to the best of our ability.

I'd also guess (and I put this in a letter to Rob) that some of the more definitively medical blogs be featured first... or at least my blog should be a little later in the presenting as my medical posts are at this time mostly Chantix related and are separated by references to children, cats, Sponge Bob, and bad things the children and pets do to my carpet.

Do you want only the med- bloggers to fill out the form, or the patient blogs as well? I wouldn't know how to even describe mine.

Gallery sounds better than carnival.

Carnivals make me think of food on a stick. :-)

Great idea! In fact, for any blog "approved" being part of the Gallery should be a "requirement" of sorts so it makes sense that we all step up and do that to kick this off.

Done. I changed the name to "gallery" instead of "carnival." Carnival is a term often used for things like grand rounds, etc. I just couldn't think of a better word

I agree, it's a good idea.

Also, Kirsti has a good idea for simplifying the process. Having a standard form to fill out would ensure that every entry was uniform and would help dummies like me answer the question of, "What should I say?"

I think having each person write an overview of their blog is a great idea and would help in creating a reference list. You will probably want the information entered to be standard. Here is a suggestion for main information. Feel free to modify.

Name of Blog
Name of Blogger
Describe Your Blog
Best Tags

Why do I blog?
Why should you read my blog?
What is special about my blog?
