Replacing the Llama

Dr. Val has given some examples of a new logo for the code of ethics. Colors can change, as can font size, etc. Vote as to which one you like the best. I’m really gonna miss the llama.

I like all of them (including #10), but I would like to cast my vote for #2.

I like #2 and #8.
For Vijay, I forgot to add this one as a possibility:

a lot of those are really good. I think if I had to pick one though, it’d be #8

Most are very good. I like #2 and #1 the best, in that order.
#4 looks like the guy has some sort of targeted problem in his underwear that’s being fixed as we speak.
#6 looks like he tripping.
#8 is OK too.

I know, here’s the nag, but so what - any possibility of changing the word medical to healthcare? Nurses don’t practice medicine, and there may be other healthcare types who would like to use the code, too.
I like all of the designs - but where’s the goat playing the accordian with the international prohibit slash across the front?
Just wonderin’….

I second N=1’s request … I think Healthcare is more inclusive than just Medical.
I like #8 and #1 (in that order).
I want to like #6 (I like the “Code of Ethics” across the bottom), but it looks like he’s playing frisbee.

I’m not a medical blogger except in the area of patient, but I’d vote for #3.
Now I’m going to duck and hide myself with my lack of MD or RN…

I am OK with changing it to Healthcare (is it one word or two?).
Amanda, this code is supposed to be for patients as well as doctors (which basically means anyone who writes about medical stuff, either from a provider or consumer standpoint).

Dictionary.com indicates that either is acceptable. I think Healthcare (one word) is fine.

Okay Doc, sounds good.
I’ve reviewed the code, and it’s something I’d do on my own anyway regardless of the matter of my posts.
I keep struggling with the whole anonymous thing as it relates just to me. I’ve tossed up my pic on my blog, and have the pic down for now. I’m continually ranting about my GYN, and even though the man irks me at the moment I don’t want to accidentally “out” him as he’s a competent physician on many levels. If I as a non-healthcare practitioner struggle so much with this, I can only imagine the difficulties that could potentially arise for a doctor or nurse.
Y’all are doing a good thing with this.

Healthcare works for me. N=1, we should have thought of that!

drgwenn: You did, you DID think of that
But about that accordian playing goat idea - whaddya think? No one else will have that - it’s unique!
Where will the list of participating blogs be? Would you consider creating a web ring for them? The ring could be displayed on participants’ blogs, and that might help to ID and to steer traffic.
