Anonymous Bloggers

There seems to be great confusion over the subject of anonymous blogging. Do you think that I should include a specific section supporting the idea of anonymous blogging? I think it is the section on credentials that scares people. I do not mean specifics regarding where you went to school, etc. I mean saying something like “I am a board-certified internist practicing in a primary-care practice.” This gives some idea of the perspective of the writer. Does this make sense?

Absolutely - makes sense, that is. Thanks for clarifying the issues. I perhaps didn’t make it clearer in my own post that I understood and supported the suggestion of perspective, but I was a bit concerned about the anonymity vs. blog by name. Sorry to be a pain….I think I need a holiday.

Relative to nursing: there are so many educational preparation tracks that it is an important distinction to make in explaining one’s credentials. An RN is not an RN is no an RN. Therefore, listing one’s academic degrees in addition to one’s licensure (RN) designation would be preferable, in my view.
Thanks for continuing to ches on this, Rob. It’s very helpful.
